It has torsion angle (the range from 20° to 40° is used, and 35° is appropriate), and as line of contact at a time is long, it moves smoothly. Especially, due to its low vibration and noise, it can be used at high speed, and the ability to deliver load is far better than straight bevel gear.

The center of pinion gear shaft which is similar to spiral bevel gear is lower than the center of ring gear, so it can lower above ground level of car body. As pinion gear can be produced largely, its contact interval is large, and it rotates smoothly and has large reduction gear ratio.

It delivers movement between two rotating shafts crossing each other, and its gear teeth are straight. It is easy to process it among other bevel gears, and its production cost is low, so it is used a lot.
